Bali

A month ago, I set out on a trip to Bali with some friends — it was my first time and I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve seen heaps of pictures online, but I’ve also heard stories of how overwhelming the airport situation can be.

I had plenty of thoughts prior to the trip, but I’m here now to say to me a month ago, “It was all good, you had a great time.”

This trip was a time of bonding and reconnecting with friends I’ve known for over a decade, so it was extremely special. We did a bunch of activities like snorkelling, white water rafting, which were pretty adventurous and things I wouldn’t normally do. If you’ve followed along some of my travel vlogs on Youtube, what I usually do on vacation includes spending time reading in cafes, exploring little shops, and the likes.

Nevertheless, I surprised myself with how much fun I had, and would love to visit Bali again (but this time, with my husband, exploring more of the cafes and little shops in Canggu and Seminyak).

And while we’re here, I thought I’d mention the one cafe I did go to on this trip,

Penny Lane Bali

It reminded me a lot of the Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney — with the vine arches when you first step in.

I usually find myself being inspired by the spaces I’m in, so naturally this was a highlight for me. The food was alright, similar to what you would expect out of cafes, but the ambience and decor really took the cake for me. I’m glad I got to experience dining here — definitely a spot to visit at least once.
